Honor: You are an honorable person who is firm with
his/her beliefs and treats others as you are
treated. People would consider you humble at
times and very respectful, and someone to
definitely respect back.

Pat Tillman... wish I'd have gotten to drink a beer with this guy. [May. 4th, 2004|01:09 pm]

This is the first account I've heard that makes him sound like a real guy. Not just some hero the government can use as a recruiting tool (read: Jessie Lynch.)

Envy. [May. 3rd, 2004|08:21 am]
Go see Envy now. Funniest movie I've seen in years. If Jack Black and Ben Stiller don't do more movies together, it's a travesty!

If dirt were dollars... [Apr. 30th, 2004|04:20 pm]
[mood |crankycranky]

I really, really wanted to play City of Heroes. It was the one game I was hoping would refresh my faith in MMORPG's after Galaxies became Everquest in Star Wars drag.

But I guess a mortgage, utilities, doctor bills, credit cards, groceries, and a broken truck take priority.

Stupid money.

Whether 'tis nobler to fix the transmission... [Apr. 30th, 2004|10:32 am]
[mood |frustratedfrustrated]

It's going to cost me 2 large to fix my truck. I only paid four thousand for the damn thing.
Arrarrraaaghh!

Looks like it's time to start doing a bit of side consulting work. (Which I hate.)

Crappity crap crap crap day. [Apr. 28th, 2004|08:03 pm]
[mood |indescribable]

I had an eye doctor's appointment this evening, so I got off work early. Started out to where I thought it was, but I couldn't find the place. I printed out the info from their web page, so the address said it should be right there, but it ain't.

Crap.

OK, I think, I'll just call them, that's what I pay a cell phone bill for, right? But there was no answer. Odd, I think.

I decide it can't be too hard to find, so I keep driving.

Not long later, I start to smell something burning... rubber smell. I figure it'll pass.

Then I see the smoke bellowing out from under my truck.

Oh, hell.

I pull over and stop on the side of the road and get out. As I do, the wind catches my door and slams it shut. I hear the unmistakeable sound of shattering glass. (We had 45-50 MPH wind gusts today.)

Shit.

I now have a broken drivers side window and there's transmission fluid pouring out of my tranny.

I called Triple A, got a tow and walked home.
